INSURANCE CORPORATION OF BC Customer Contact 151 West Esplanade North Vancouver, BC V7M 3H9 Qualifying owners with disabilities receive 25% off the cost of basic, compulsory Autoplan coverage. The Disability Discount can only be applied to one vehicle and there are some restrictions in the vehicle use categories to which the discount applies.
To qualify for a Disability Discount, the registered owner(s) or lessee(s) must:
- be 16 years of age or older AND;
- have been qualified as "handicapped" by Consumer Taxation under the Motor Fuel Tax Act AND;
- provide their Motor Fuel Tax Act claim number.
In the case of joint ownership, one of the owners or lessees must be 16 years or older and qualify under the Motor Fuel Tax Act.
Those policies presently receiving the Disability Discount do not need to provide a Motor Fuel Tax Act claim unless there is a lapse in coverage.
