General Motors of Canada will reimburse up to $1,000 (GST
included) for the cost of adapting a vehicle so that it can
be driven by a person with a disability or so that it can
transport a person with a disability. The installation must
be done within 12 months of the cars purchase. A claim
form must be submitted to a GM of Canada dealer within 90
days of conversion. This applies to the following vehicles:
Chevrolet, GEO, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, Cadillac,
Chevrolet/GMC truck or van. The reimbursement can be applied
against the vehicle down payment, and even if the applicant
has secured other financial aid for conversion purposes. Call
