This group holds an annual provincial sportsfestival for people with mental disabilities. This recreational and competitive event is held on the second weekend in June at the University of Victoria. The fee to enter the event is $130 for out of town competitors (including meals and accommodation). Local athletes pay a fee of $18. Subsidies are available. Operation Trackshoes mails out registration forms to all groups and individuals representing people with mental disabilities, or you can contact them directly. There is also a children’s program for 6-12 year olds. Competitors are matched up with counsellors from the local community.
