The Legal Services Society (LSS) provides legal aid to
eligible applicants and legal information and education for
all British Columbians. Intake workers at branch offices,
community law offices, native community law offices, or area
directors’offices interview clients to determine if they
are financially eligible and if their legal problems are ones
LSS covers. Education and information about the law are
provided through a number of programs. The Law Line is a
dedicated telephone legal information line for the general
public. Law Line hours are Monday to Thursday, 10 am - 4 pm
and Friday 10 am - 1 pm. The Legal Resource Centre, a law
library for the public and for LSS staff, is open to the
public Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Local offices are
