This is a 14-week career exploration and job search skills program creating a supportive and challenging group environment for women seeking re-entry into the job market. Applicants must be on income assistance and be survivors of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse. They may also be in recovery from drug or alcohol addictions, eating disorders, corrections backgrounds or psychiatric illness. The program allows participants to examine their obstacles to finding employment with a focus on self awareness as well as the realities of the job market. Introductory computer skills are taught as well. The program is sponsored by Pacific Legal Education Association and is funded by the Ministry of Education, Skills, and Training.
