For 15-18 year olds who are not attending a regular school program. It offers 8 weeks of workshops and activities with an optional two week work experience. The workshops cover topics in life skills and job preparation. Culturally based activities include making dream catchers, medicine pouches, artwork, etc. Program incentives include bus pass, attendance allowance and YM/YWCA fitness pass.Job Club
Job Club is a 6 week program designed to re-energize your job search. It teaches job search techniques and career planning strategies.Career Wheel/Job Readiness Program
Career Wheel is a job readiness program that will help a person develop a career path and plan & develop a daily job search strategy. It will also aid in improving math, English, reading and writing skills.Workplace Based Training
Job ready candidates will be helped linking with employers for long term attachment to the workforce. The WBT program will provide training for participants targeted to the needs of the employer such as First Aid, SuperHost, Food Safe or specific training relevant to the job. Job prep includes job search strategies, resume prep, networking & interview skills and support with job placement.Street Outreach
This program provides direct outreach support to the Aboriginal street population. Outreach short term crisis counselling, advocacy, practical support, accessing food, shelter, clothing and medical care for the hard to reach "street people", the homeless, substance users, street youth and anyone else in need.
