P.A.C.T. is part of Coast Foundation Society. It is funded
through federal, provincial, and private sources. The program
provides employment services for mental health consumers. To
be eligible, participants must be 18 years of age or older,
residents of the Greater Vancouver area, self-motivated, and
have basic communication skills as well as appropriate social
skills. P.A.C.T. provides a one week training course in job
finding skills and a 3-day course in assessing career
choices. Morning job search facilities are available to all
participants. The group also provides assessment, vocational
and job counselling, employment information and job
placement. Extensive on-the-job support and follow-up is
available through P.A.C.T.
