The BC Paraplegic Association provides employment services to people with physical disabilities living in Greater Vancouver. It provides specialized job-search techniques to job-ready clients and will advise employers about subsidies for training and renovating if required. To apply, call BCPA Job Counselling. Other services are also available at the BCPA’s district offices throughout BC.
The BCPA provides vocational rehabilitation services for people who wish to upgrade their education for re-entry into the work force. If a disability has caused barriers to employment, BCPA covers a range of services, including assessment, special equipment, and sponsorship of courses.

LEAP -- Long-term Employability Achievement Program
This program is a powerful 3-month Career Planning and Job Search Strategies course designed for persons with mobility difficulties. Students learn how to match their skills, values, and aptitudes with positions currently available, learn how to compete effectively in the overcrowded job market, and make connections with employers in their dream industry. Includes exposure to job-search with e-mail, WWW, and multimedia communication.
