The Veterans Independence Program
The VIP is a program aimed at helping eligible veterans to maintain or improve their quality of life by assisting them to remain healthy and independent in their own homes or communities. Services include counselling and referral, assistance in obtaining home care services, and health information. Departmental staff work closely with provincial and local agencies to provide veterans with the greatest possible range of benefits and services to meet veterans' health and social needs.
